1806 Half Cent Draped Bust Type Large 6, stems   A modified reverse design was introduced during 1802, and used throuth 1808.  The half cent is the lowest face value coin struck by the United States.  All half cents are scarce, but the series has never enjoyed the popularity of some of the other series, hence the more common dates and varities are reasonably priced.  This coinage was discontiinued by the Act of February 21, 1857.  All were coined at the Philadelphia Mint.  This is a beautiful display example, well circulated while retaining remarkable detail, strong date, some drapery shows, the shoulder drapery and hair over brow warn smooth.  Offered at $130.00
